Tuxedo(礼服, always black) + black tie(领结) is the most formal dress for men; while a dark suit(西服) + tie(领带) is considered to be formal or semi-formal. 2. Dark suit: A dark suit can be worn for all occasions, irrespective of the time of day, including at white tie events. The term dark suit simply means a dark grey, dark blue or black suit.
