Guns N' Roses Rock!

Went to an awesome Guns N' Roses concert in the 1st Mariner Arena. Axl Rose was excellent on stage. With a rose red mic and stand, he demanded attention and rocked the hell out of it.

The band showed their ample ability of delivering high-voltage, hardcore heavy metal songs as well as softer, lyrical ones like "Knockin' On Heaven's Door".

Opened with "Welcome to the Jungle" and encored with "Paradise City", they did most of their hit songs and new songs from their new album "Chinese Democracy" almost nonstop from 11pm to 1am, including my all-time favorite "Sweet Child O' Mine". Rose's voice wasn't in great shape but his vigorous performance blew everyone's mind (and ears).

Sebastian Bach opened for Guns N' Roses and also did a wonderful duet version of "My Michelle" with Rose. And before Bach, it was the voluptuous Suicide Girls who kept us staying.

For those of you who *actually* followed my story, I apologize: I lied, to some extent, when I said my next stop was Nice. In fact I arrived at Nice at night after a very enjoyable, and amazingly fast TGV ride. But I took a day trip to Monaco the very next day. There are two ways to get there from Nice: a €1,5(!), 40-minute bus or a €5, 15-minute train.
