This is an overdue post about the Motor Trend International Auto Show in Baltimore.
It wasn't easy to find parking in downtown Baltimore so we had to walk through the (in)famous Block.
We came prepared: I bought the tickets online in advance to avoid the long ticket line. We started to check out the cars immediately. American Automobile Association (
AAA) was one of the sponsors.
I was surprised to see the State Trooper showing off their Chevy's. Note the car on the right was the famous undercover police car (便衣警车). I got excited every time I spotted one on the highway, as if I discovered something stealthy.
We checked out some Toyotas and Hondas but I don't have to show pictures of them: They are everywhere! Instead, let me show you cars that are a little bit beyond my current salary level, but reachable once I get a real job.
You can sit in there cars to get a feeling of them. BMW is my favorite. As my friend Linda put it, driving an entry-level beamer like the 3 Series is like saying, "Yes, I made it!"
The Z4 is perfect for a loving couple.
I like Jeep very much. The Hurricane is a very interesting concept.
Proud to be a Jeep.
I tried the 2008 Wrangler and it felt great!
Now for some European cuties.
The original Hummer is truly American.
Corvette is one of the few American sport cars I like.
Now cars I could never afford: a flashy Lamborghini.
Pity they didn't allow us to sit in one of those.
Finally a Ferrari in the classic color: Blood red.
It was a nice auto show and I really enjoyed it.
